<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Sabellaria spinulosa presence records from a 1992 survey of the coastline of south-east Scotland from North Berwick to the river Tweed. Marine habitats and communities of south-east Scotland were surveyed during the period June - September 1992. In April 1992, the MNCR initiated a two-year project to survey the coastline from North Berwick, south-east Scotland to Bridlington, north-east England; this area represents MNCR coastal Sector 5, together with the most south-easterly part of Sector 4 (North Berwick - Dunbar). Sites were surveyed following the standard MNCR methods (Hiscock 1990) and the information recorded onto MNCR recording forms. During 1992, surveys concentrated on the open coast from North Berwick to Craster, Northumberland, and the major and minor estuaries throughout Sector 5. The report describes the coast from North Berwick, East Lothian to the River Tweed, Northumberland. Sites were selected to survey typical and representative habitats together with any unusual or uncommon habitats within the survey area. Photographs of habitats, communities and species were taken at most sites to provide a permanent record of the area. This survey was collated by MarLIN as part of a data collation contract for species on the provisional list of nationally important marine features (Lieberknecht et al. 2004).</dc:description>
