  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Marine benthic species abundance data from survey carried out to investigate the impact of the Dover long sea outfall on fisheries and ecology. The survey was carried out by Southern Science, for Southern Water Services, in 1992. Twenty sites were sampled using a day grab. Species were counted and identified to species level where possible. Depth and sediment types are available for each site. This dataset was collated as part of a Joint Nature Conservation Commitee (JNCC) contract.</dc:description>
