<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This ad hoc sighting of a Gray whale is the third ever record within Moroccan waters. The whale species identified in Moroccan waters (Masski and De Stephanis 2015) differ from the Gray whale, so this species was undoubtedly identified from photos and videos captured within 10m of the animal that spent several hours in shallow waters.Only two other sightings of this species exist in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. This record was submitted as part of the Marine Record manuscript submission service https://mbr.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines/preparing-your-manuscript/marine-record.</dc:description>
