  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">As part of the management measures, an intensive data collection programme was introduced in 2017 to capture temporal and spatial trends in catch per unit effort (CPUE). This involves the collection of landings data recorded by fishers and IFCA officers carrying out onboard observer surveys. The data obtained is used to compile a report which is presented to the byelaw sub-committee and helps to inform the future management of the fishery.</dc:description>
