  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Marine algae records from Lundy digitised from paper format to MEDIN standard format. The survey was undertaken primarily to investigate the sublittoral flora (marine algae) for comparison with other regions; the intertidal vegetation was examined where opportunity permitted. Survey dates August 2-9, 1969, July 4-1 l, 1970. March-April, 1970, and July 23-31,197I. Techniques included complete removal of vegetation from metre quadrats of recorded depth, locality and habitat, for subsequent detailed examination ashore. This dataset was digitised by the MBA Data Team in DASSH from the following paper D.E.G. Irvine , R.M. Smith , I. Tittley, R.L. Fletcher and W.F. Farnham (1972) A survey of the marine algae of Lundy, British Phycological Journal, 7:1, 119-136.
