<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Rocks, bottles, plastic and other materials bearing tubeworms were collected by diving. Each dive lasted about 15 minutes and each collection could be carried in one or two nylon shopping bags measuring about 35 x 30 cm. The tubeworms were identified under a dissecting microscope. A few were mounted in polyvinyl-lacto-phenol, for high-power examination of chaetae. Representative material was sent to Dr Helmut Zibrowius, who confirmed identification. Some will be deposited in the British Museum (Natural History).</dc:description>
