<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This data series details the results of the metocean survey undertaken by EMU Limited in the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm Zone in the English Channel.
The survey data were collected between 12/05/2012 to 15/11/2012 and comprise measurements of Directional wave parameters, Current profiles, Water levels, Suspended sediment concentrations , Water temperature , Wind speed, gust and direction, Air temperature and pressure.
The aim of the measurement campaign was to capture low frequency, high energy events and high frequency, low energy events in order to establish a description of the site conditions.
The three seabed measurement stations were deployed on the 1st November 2010. The equipment at Locations 1 and 2 was recovered in February 2011, whereas the deployment at Location 3 was extended to allow collection of oceanographic data concurrent with the meteorological buoy. The resultant dataset from Location 3 is approximately 6 months of oceanographic data and in excess of 3 months of meteorological data.
The deliverables of this contract are intended to inform the Environmental Impact Assessment (to be undertaken by ABPmer) and the engineering design of wind farm structures.
The deliverables provided in this dataseries consist of:
 1. The Metocean Survey Report (this document)
 2. The Operational Reference Document
 3. The data files</dc:description>
