<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Teesside Offshore Windfarm is a 62MW site comprising 27 turbines, which are configured into 3 rows of 9 turbines, each row running in a north west to south east direction. The windfarm is situated near the mouth of the River Tees, approximately 1.5km from shore, and is owned and operated by Teesside Windfarm Limited. The total survey area was 3km long and 1.5km wide, along with two export cable routes roughly 2km in length, of which 1.5km was surveyed, to the 2m below CD contour. Within the windfarm area, a total of 44 survey lines were run at intervals of between 30m and 40m, depending upon water depths, with a further 6 survey lines run at 15m spacing along the export cable route corridor. In addition, a further 4 lines were run per turbine, in order to collect high resolution data. Bibby HydroMap were contracted to provide surveys in order to monitor the seabed state, specifically the identification of seabed debris and scour or sediment accretion within the wind farm area. The survey was completed under LOGIC Terms and Conditions. The survey works were conducted by MV Lia and were undertaken between 8th and 22nd September 2015. The aims of the survey were: To identify debris within the construction area; To identify any changes to seabed morphology, to enable the evaluation of the effectiveness of installed scour protection and ratify the predictions for scour development; Inform the foundation and cable maintenance schedule; To satisfy the requirements of the Marine Licence, specifically the monitoring of Archaeological Exclusion Zones.
This dataset comprises information about vessel and sensor position throughout the survey, in the form of fixes and trackplot lines.</dc:description>
