  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The objectives of this survey were twofold. Firstly a database was compiled of fishing vessels potting along the coast of North Devon, the number of pots employed by the fishermen and areas fished as well as information on the shore based industries associated with the fishery. Fishermen were asked to complete survey forms and charts and areas fished have been mapped using GIS.The second objective was to investigate the catch and returns of lobsters from surveys at sea.</dc:description>
