  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This is the parent record of the Scottish northern shelf anglerfish (monkfish) trawl survey. It is a multi-vessel survey that commenced in November 2005. Surveys prior to 2008 took place in November; starting in 2008 they have taken place in April. This trawl survey follows a set of protocols drawn up by an industry science survey-planning group made up of Marine Scotland scientists and fishing representatives. These protocols share much in common with the sampling regimes described in Marine Scotland standing instructions for demersal trawl surveys.</dc:description>
