2019, Bibby HydroMap, Blyth Demonstration Site, Operations and Maintenance Geophysical Surveys series https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=015_00934665-3515-4fcc-8455-a139b48c9898 Bibby HydroMap were commissioned by Blyth Offshore Demonstrator Ltd/EDF Renewables, in August 2018, to undertake a series of geophysical surveys at the Blyth Offshore Demonstrator wind farm, located off the north-east coast of the UK at Blyth, Northumberland. Surveys have been previously undertaken in August/September 2018, April 2019, and this, the most recent survey, was undertaken between the 29th October and 20th November 2019. Due to the general lack of seabed mobility, the survey boundary for this monitoring visit has been reduced to decrease survey acquisition and processing timescales for the client. The new boundaries were submitted to and approved by the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) in October 2019. This survey, comprising the collection of multibeam bathymetry and side scan sonar data, marks the third of a 3-year monitoring program, which will be undertaken at 6 monthly intervals, and after any major storm events. The objectives of the survey program were to acquire survey data to a resolution that will: - Identify seabed debris within the construction area; - Identify changes to seabed morphology to enable the evaluation of the effectiveness of installed scour protection and ratify predictions for scour development; - Inform the foundation and cable maintenance schedule; - Satisfy the requirements of the Marine Licence. 20211110T16:42:39
