We then highlight how the results of major investment in research carried out in the UK over the past decade, particularly through the Aggregate Levy Sustainability Fund (ALSF), have assisted in our understanding of the nature and scale of impacts of dredging on the marine environment, and how this information has been used to improve the sustainable management of this key resource for the UK economy. 20030101 20030101
