  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The Gunfleet Sands site falls within the general area with a known history of human conflict. During the past two world wars the Thames and surrounds was mined and bombed by all parties and the legacy of these conflicts is the continued presence of unexploded ordnance (UXO). The potential for such material to be present during the development of the site must be considered and appropriate mitigation undertaken to reduce any risk. 
This report evaluates the manipulation of existing data to establish its potential use in the detection of the likely presence of unexploded ordnance.</dc:description>
