<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">EGS (International) Ltd was contracted to undertake a geophysical survey of an offshore wind farm demonstration site off the coast of Blyth, Northumberland. The marine survey was designed to determine the seabed morphology, shallow geology and any potential geo-hazards/constraints to the development of the demonstration site.During survey operations an area of approximately 46km2 was covered by multi-beam echo-sounder and side-scan sonar systems, and over 350 line km were surveyed with seismic profiling systems (boomer and sparker) as well as a marine magnetometer. Survey operations were completed on the FPV Morven over a total of 15 days from the 15th August 2010 to the 29th August 2010.</dc:description>
