<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Geophysical and Environmental Survey Export Cable Area of the seabed between the southeast area of the Round 3 Zone OWF site off the west coast of the UK in the east Irish Sea, known as the Irish Sea Zone and the north Anglesey coast, with the primary objective of surveying the area for potential export cable routing. The survey data was acquired using the survey vessels EGS Pioneer and SV Otarie.

The outline scope of the marine survey was to:
- Measure sea bed topography and morphology and identify the nature of the seabed sediments, in particular the height, length and slopes of any sand waves in the survey area in order to optimise cable routing and cable burial depth.
- Obtain and describe grab samples of seabed materials to correlate with side-scan sonar.
- Identify the location, extent and nature of any impediments to the laying or burial of the cable.
- Identify the disposition and thickness of superficial sediments to depth below seabed of 6m.
- Provide environmental information that may affect the engineering of the export cable routes.
- There is no requirement for geotechnical or UXO works in this scope of work.</dc:description>
