  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This dataset is comprised of echosounder measurements carried out within the Morlais Demonstration zone as part of the Marine Characterisation Research Project (MCRP) to estimate prey availability in the study site. These data support monthly boat based line transect surveys collected to understand spatial and temporal variation in the distribution of seabirds and marine mammals.

The Morlais Demonstration Zone (MDZ) is situated off West Anglesey and has consent for development as a tidal stream energy site.
