  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">AMEC was commissioned by NaREC to conduct series of surveys to determine the type and distribution of fish and commercial shellfish species in and around the site of the proposed offshore wind farm for the preconstruction baseline monitoring requirements of the EIA. Entec was subcontracted to undertake each survey. Between October 2010 and September 2011 a series of surveys were undertaken to determine the type and distribution of fish and commercial shellfish species in and around the site of the proposed offshore wind farm. Three types of survey were performed; trawl surveys using an otter trawl, set net surveys using gill nets, and potting surveys using parlour pots. DSML was also commissioned to report on the commercial fisheries within the vicinity of the proposed site.</dc:description>
