<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Osiris Projects were commissioned in August 2012 by SSE Renewables, Costa Head Wave Farm Ltd and Brims Tidal Array Ltd to carry out three contractually separate geophysical surveys around Orkney, at Costa Head, Westray South and Brims, to assess the suitability of the locations for the potential installation of wave / tidal generators, beginning with the associated cable routes.

Surveys were undertaken during different periods of 2012 and 2013. The main objective of the surveys were:
1. To undertake site surveys to support the technical, environmental and economic appraisal of the development sites, including their grid connection corridors.
2. To provide sufficient data so that specific locations can be identified for wave and tidal generators, inter array cabling route options and delineations of the preferred export cable route to shore, from each site.</dc:description>
