<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">At the request of E.ON Climate and Renewables Fugro GeoConsulting Limited acted as the main contractor for a geotechnical site investigation at the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm Site which is located approximately 13 kilometres south of Brighton, West Sussex within the English Channel. The field work was performed using the M/V Fugro Saltire from 27 March to 6 April 2011, the M/V Willendeavour from 5 April to 9 April 2011 and the M/V Bucentaur from 24 June to 26 June 2011.
The objective of this investigation was to provide sufficient geotechnical information to allow the detailed design of two Met Mast locations and provide geotechnical data to assess the soil conditions across the site. The water depth was in the range of 8.2 m to 44.9 m corrected to Lowest Astronomical Tide, as measured by the drillstring.</dc:description>
