<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Celtic Sea Power Limited commissioned APEM Limited to undertake a programme of four seasonal Digital Aerial Surveys across the UK Celtic Sea Survey Area, commencing in August 2022. The surveys were designed to provide baseline information on the distribution and abundance of seabirds and marine mammals, supporting regional density and distribution modelling and understanding of potential overlap with floating offshore wind development in the Celtic Sea.

The surveys were undertaken as part of the Cornwall FLOW Accelerator (CFA) project, led by Celtic Sea Power Limited in partnership with the University of Exeter, University of Plymouth, and the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (OREC). The CFA project was funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Surveys used a transect-based high-resolution digital aerial survey method, with observations georeferenced and internally quality assured.</dc:description>
