<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Marine Geosystem (MGS) has carried out a geotechnical survey to assist GGOWL in their design of suitable foundations for the proposed structures. A total of 17 locations were investigated, 11 boreholes were located within the vicinity of the Inner Gabbard sandbank, 5 boreholes were located within the vicinity of the Galloper sandbank, and 1 borehole at the proposed Meteorological Mast location. Boreholes were advanced using rotary drilling, the sampling/testing regime featured alternate 1m push samples and 3m CPT tests.

Geotechnical testing was performed offshore, with further onshore testing performed by Soil Mechanics. This report presents the finds of the survey, and details geotechnical design considerations and engineering parameters to aid subsequent emplacement of the wind turbine foundations.</dc:description>
