  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This Environmental Statement (ES) has been prepared by DP Marine Energy Ireland Ltd (DPME), on behalf of Fair Head Tidal Energy Park Ltd (FHTEP) which is a special purpose vehicle formed by partners DPME and Bluepower NV. 

The ES is submitted in support of an application for consent for the 100 MW FHTEP Project a proposed tidal energy development, covering an area of approximately 4.2km2, less than 1km off the North Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland (the &#x201C;Project&#x201D;). The scope of the application is all the offshore components up to the mean high water springs including the tidal turbines with their support structures and foundations, electrical hubs and all cabling works. 

Excluded from the application are all onshore works above mean high water springs including onshore cabling works, new substation and connection into the existing Northern Ireland electricity network. These will be subject to a separate application.</dc:description>
