<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Headland Archaeology Ltd was commissioned by Aquamarine Power to carry out a baseline assessment for the offshore element of the proposed Isle of Lewis Wave Array, situated on the west coast of the Isle of Lewis. The proposal includes an array of devices installed on the seabed, a high pressure undersea pipeline to an onshore powerhouse, and a low pressure return pipeline. The overall size of the development is dictated by practical installation considerations (such as clearance distances required for marine installation operations and necessary clearance between devices) and environmental considerations (such as the nature of the seafloor).</dc:description>
