<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) considers the potential effects on the landscape and on views arising from the onshore grid connection works associated with Dogger Bank Creyke Beck. The LVIA was undertaken by landscape architects at Land Use Consultants (LUC). The project is described in full in Chapter 5 Project Description of the Dogger Bank Creyke Beck Environmental Statement (ES) but in outline comprises: a joint transition bay at the landfall located along the Holderness coastline north of Ulrome, a high voltage direct current (HVDC) buried cable route, a high voltage alternating current (HVAC) buried cable route, and two converter stations in proximity to the existing substation at Creyke Beck in Cottingham, as well as ancillary infrastructure. The converter stations will be co-located. The assessment considers effects on landscape and visual resources during construction, operation and decommissioning. The assessment of effects on seascape and visual resources arising from the offshore components of the project (offshore wind turbines) is provided in a separate report and summarised in Chapter 21 Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact
Assessment of the ES.
