  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Explore the seafloor is the dissemination project of the Regional Environmental Characterisation survey (RECs). It was launches at the start of 2010 and was commissioned by the Marine Aggregate Levy sustainability fund. The aim was to disseminate the scientific results of the RECs for the 4 main aggregate dredging regions in the UK. This was achieved through a number of road shows, the development of a web portal and the creation of online educational resources for KS3 and KS4.</dc:description>
