<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Wessex Archaeology (WA) was commissioned by Centrica Renewable Energy Limited to undertake an archaeological assessment of borehole and Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT) logs generated as part of the Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) geotechnical investigation by the Danish Geotechnical Institute (GEO). The Stage 1 assessment of the logs has been undertaken in order to investigate the sedimentary sequence within the wind farm area, and evaluate the geoarchaeological and palaeoenvironmental potential of sediments within the region.Previous archaeological investigation for Race Bank OWF has included a Written Scheme of Investigation (WA 2007) and an archaeological assessment involving reviewing both known archaeological sites and geophysical data (WA 2008).</dc:description>
