<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">EcoNorth Ltd was commissioned to undertake a Phase 1 habitat survey, extended to identify any use for the site by protected and notable species, on an area of land along the road between East Sleekburn and Cambois to the North of the Blyth Estuary; adjacent to, and including parts of, the former Blyth coal fired power station site. The survey was undertaken by John Thompson MIEEM on 14th March 2013 in accordance with the methodology described in the Handbook for Phase 1 Habitat Survey (JNCC, 2010). In addition to the field survey a desk study exercise has been undertaken gathering biological records and reviewing statutory and non-statutory nature conservation designations in the vicinity of the site.</dc:description>
