2005, CMACS, Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm, Beam Trawl Survey series https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=015_56f68901ade547dca0d82af197032cec This project examines the bean trawl survey that took place during September 2005 by CMACS Ltd during the pre-construction phase of the Rhyl Flats offshore wind farm. The surveys were carried out to provide information concerning the benthic populations in and around the development area as part of the 2005 baseline program. These surveys will be repeated annually to comply with the conditions of the FEPA licence. The results of the trawl survey show that the most common fish species recorded was the Sand Goby with a total of 457 individual records. No rare or unusual invertebrates were recorded during the 2005 beam trawl survey. However, it should be noted that some of the invertebrate species recorded are considered to be of national importance in respect of their provision of habitat and food sources.
