  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Geoquip Marine were contracted by Moray Offshore Windfarm (West) Limited to perform a geotechnical investigation at various locations across the site for the future installation of 98 turbines and 2 offshore substations. The scope of work included 48 alternating downhole sampling / Seismic Cone Penetration Tests (SCPTU) and 52 continuous seabed SPCTU to a target depth of 25m to identify in situ soil conditions. 

The downhole drilling began on the 29 May 2019 and ended on 18 September 2019. The seabed (S)CPTU began on the 14 December 2019 and ended on 19 January 2020. Operations were conducted using the GMR600 drilling rig and GMCPT201 seabed CPTU system, conducted by MV Geoquip Saentis.</dc:description>
