2012 Anatec Kyle Rhea Navigation Risk Assessment series https://portal.medin.org.uk/portal/start.php?tpc=015_659525b7-40f0-431f-9cb7-9d0b429461ff The main aims of this study were as follows: identify the key navigational features of the area; analyse vessel activity data for Kyle Rhea; review historical maritime incidents; asses the impact on navigation and maritime risk associated with the project; quantitatively assess the collision risks; assess the cumulative and in-combination impacts of nearby projects on maritime traffic; review the available measures to mitigate the risks. By applying appropriate mitigation identified at the workshop, the residual risk rankings were estimated to reduce to a moderate level (tolerable with mitigation). Further investigation of the suggested mitigation measures will be needed to determine if they can be implemented, in practice, to achieve the assumed benefit. 20121218
