<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This project examines the Archaeological Protocol that has been prepared by Wessex Archaeology for the development stage of the Barrow offshore wind farm. The protocol is based on recommendations made in the Environmental Assessment Technical Report. The responsibility of implementing the protocol rests with Vestas-KBR. Construction exclusion zones will be the principle means used to preserve in situ any deposits of potential or known archaeological interest. These zones will be periodically monitored by visits from an appropriately qualified archaeologist. Geophysical, geotechnical, diver/ROV observations and walk over surveys will help identify archaeological features and if necessary alter the construction exclusion zones.</dc:description>
