<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Gardline Geosurvey carried out export cable route surveys within the Moray Firth for Moray Offshore Renewables Limited (MORL). The following route surveys were required:
? Survey of the route between the Hub location to the northeast of the Moray Offshore Windfarm and the proposed Fraserburgh landfall location.
? Survey of the route between the Hub location to the northeast of the Moray Offshore Windfarm and the proposed Rattray landfall location.

The purpose of the survey was to assist in the installation of the export cables from the Moray Offshore Windfarm to the proposed landfalls. The scope of the route survey (Schedule Part 2 - Scope of Work) was to obtain the following along the proposed corridors:
? Provide data on bathymetry, seabed features, and sub-bottom conditions to at least 5m depth below seabed for input in to the Trenching Specification and Burial Protection Assessment (BPA).
? Determine water depths reduced to LAT.
? Identify seabed features and obstructions.
? Determine the seabed sediments and sub-seabed lithology, topographical and geological features that could impact on the satisfactory installation and trenching of the cable such as wrecks, boulders, exposed bedrock, seabed gas seepage, pockmarks, adverse gradients, sand waves, slumping, and channeling.
? Determine the physical and engineering properties of the seabed sediments. In addition to this, a habitat assessment was undertaken consisting of seabed imagery using a digital stills camera and video system.</dc:description>
