  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Anatec were commissioned by Centrica Renewable Energy Ltd to assess the risk of damage to their planned cable route in The Wash from vessels dragging anchor and from emergency anchoring. This report presents an update to the risk assessment, using 12 months of AIS data collected from September 2011 to August 2012.
This report summarises the data sources, methodology and results. The results are presented in terms of the annual frequency of an anchor dragging over the cable or a vessel dropping anchor on the cable; and the frequency of cable damage, based on the as-laid burial depth of the cable and the estimated anchor penetration depth.</dc:description>
