  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Bird and marine mammal surveys were conducted by Natural Power Consultants for the Eastern Development Area for the proposed Round 3 Zone 1 offshore wind farm. 20 surveys were conducted in all monthly between April 2010 and August 2011. The mxd and layer packages that have been sent are the figures from each survey report over the 18 month period and detail the survey area and the boat transect through the area. ESAS standard methodology for bird assessments was employed. The location of the boat was recorded at all times using GPS. All data collected was recorded on a suitable pro-forma for later entry onto spreadsheets, the following information was recorded for each observation: Species Number (count) Distance from vessels Height of flight Direction. Passive acoustic monitoring was conducted on marine mammals from tows behind the survey vessel.</dc:description>
