  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This document outlines an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to mitigate disturbance impacts (potential for barrier effect) on European Protected Species (EPS) species (cetaceans) during Geotechnical works associated with the Kyle Rhea Tidal Stream Array Project

The mitigation measures presented here are specifically aimed at minimising risk of an offence of disturbance to EPS i.e. cetaceans, during the geotechnical investigations. Guidance published by JNCC (2008) on deliberate disturbance of EPS, as well as minimising risk or injury or disturbance from seismic surveys (JNCC, 2010a) and pile driving (JNCC, 2010b) has been used in drafting this document.</dc:description>
