  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">DONG Energy has commissioned 6 Alpha Associates Limited (&#x201C;6 Alpha&#x201D;) to conduct a detailed desk based Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) threat and risk assessment study for the Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm Project. The scope of this study will include operations involved with the installation of turbines and inter-array cables in the Main Array Site and the installation of the export cable within the Proposed Export Cable Corridor. This study consists of a desk-based collation and review of readily available documentation and records relating to the possibility of encountering UXO and/or dangerous Explosive Ordnance (EO) related paraphernalia, within the study area. This study methodology is based on best practice for UXO risk assessment.</dc:description>
