<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This study follows on from two previous metocean studies carried out in 2004 and 2008 by HR Wallingford for the Lynn and Inner Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm, and for the Lincs Wind Farm.

A SWAN spectral wave model was set up in 2007 by HR Wallingfor to supply operational forecasts of nearshore waves at the Lynn and Inner Dowsing wind farm. This is a more sophisticated model that the HINDWAVE/TELURAY wave model used in HR Wallingford (2004). This SWAN model was calibrated against various measurements in the Lincs wind farm study (HR Walligford, 2008) and provides an accurate description of the waves across the area of the wind farms. A Telemac 2D flow model was also set up and calibrated against various measurements during the Lincs Wind Farm study.

In this study, the updated and improved wave and flow conditions were extracted from teh models calibrated in the Lincs study area (HR Wallingford, 2008) in the four nearshore points defined in the previous HR Wallingford report.</dc:description>
