<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Finfish Survey of Bridlington Bay (August 2011, January and March 2012), in relation to the Inshore Cable Corridor for the Dogger Bank Creyke Beck Projects

This survey was designed to evaluate the natural fish ecology, and commercial fisheries utilising gears that are better suited to the capture and retention of species present in the area and such a survey reflects the type of finfish gears used by local fishermen. The results of which provide additional baseline information with regard to the diversity and abundance of species utilising the area which may be affected by the cable laying phase, and which may potentially disrupt the migration of an unknown density of fish during this period. Such an evaluation would assist in determining whether the cable route is important to fish migrations and as a consequence commercial fin fishing.</dc:description>
