  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This project outlines the work undertaken for the first year of post-construction monitoring of birds at Gunfleet Sands and Gunfleet Sands 2 offshore wind farms. Ten boat-based surveys were undertaken within the area occupied by these wind farms and adjacent areas between Oc-tober 2010 and March 2011. The survey methods employed are consistent with those un-dertaken during previous monitoring periods.</dc:description>
