  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">National Grid System Operator was commissioned by The Crown Estate (TCE) to undertake a desktop feasibility study assessing the possible impacts of connecting new offshore wind generation in various locations to the transmission system in England and Wales. The main output from this study is a series of maps illustrating the likely transmission system cost impacts of connecting different sized offshore wind projects over the timeframe 2025-2040 and under the scenarios considered.</dc:description>
