  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">The proposed development of the London Array Offshore Windfarm includes the installation of buried marine and terrestrial cables, construction of a substation and access road, and works associated with alterations of the existing National Grid overhead lines. The installation of the marine and terrestrial cables, construction of the access road, and works on the overhead lines would occur within or in close proximity to the Swale Special Protection Area and the Swale Ramsar site. 

English Nature have advised that an appropriate assessment of the effects of the proposals is required under the Conservation Regulation 1994. The study concluded that there will be no significant impact on the designated Swale Special Protection Area and the Swale Ramsar site from the construction of the London Array offshore wind farm.</dc:description>
