  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Natural Power has been commissioned by National Renewable Energy Centre (NaREC) to carry out continuous monitoring of the wind resource at the development location. Offshore data was not avaliable from the 
 NaREC project area for use in analysis. As a result data from an onshore LIDAR unit (ZephIR 300) together
 with long term reference data (from a meteorological reference station and a meso-scale model) has been 
 used to provide an estimation of the long term ambient wind climate at various locations around the NaREC 
 project area.</dc:description>
