  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">HR Wallingford undertook a desk study of the coastal and seabed processes to set out the existing state of knowledge, to assess the potential impact of the WoDS and Walney developments and to recommend mitigation measures and further work as required. 

This project examines the impacts on coastal and seabed processes as a result of the construction of the West of Duddon Sands offshore Wind Farm. A desk study was undertaken by HR Wallingford examining the coastal and seabed processes to set out the existing state of knowledge, to assess the potential impact of the developments and to recommend mitigation measures and further work as required. The assessment takes account of any cumulative impacts arising from the nearby Barrow OWF and from potential Shell Flat and Ormonde Project Offshore Wind Farms. No new modelling has been undertaken to support this work but geophysical and geotechnical survey information has been derived from the recent work undertaken by Offshore Survey and Engineering.</dc:description>
