  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">SSE Renewables plans to investigate offshore Wind Farm Development Sites and is starting by exploring two areas. The sites lie along the Scottish west coast. The site Islay lies west of the Island of Islay, and the site Kintyre lies west of the peninsula of Kintyre. The objective was to perform a marine survey campaign for the planned Islay &amp; Kintyre Offshore Wind Farms, to determine the ground conditions for the design and engineering planning of the wind farms. The survey consists of bathymetric full coverage survey, a geophysical reconissance survey and geotechnical sampling survey.</dc:description>
