  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">SAMS Research Services Ltd (SRSL) were asked to undertake benthic ecology and natural fish resource baseline surveys for input into the environmental planning aspect of the Islay development. The surveys were undertaken from May to September 2012.

The objectives were to determine the seabed type through collection and analysis of seabed sediment samples; to determine broad scale distribution patterns and abundance of marine habitats, communities, biotopes and key species patterns and; to identify habitats/species of conservation importance in the area.

Deliverables were in the form of a report and video still screenshots.</dc:description>
