  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">This report describes work undertaken by the National Physical Laboratory and Loughborough University to monitor the underwater acoustic noise during the installation of a test pile at the Lynn Offshore Wind Farm. The work took place on the morning of 17th April 2006 at 530 07.168&#x2019; N 00 24.567&#x2019; E approximately 6 km off-shore from Skegness. Detailed assessment of underwater noise levels were made throughout the piling sequence (a little over 4 hours) at two locations in a direction toward Gibraltar Point corresponding to ranges of 57 m and 1,850 m.</dc:description>
