<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">DONG Energy awarded Deep BV with the contract for the execution of the Depth of Burial & Geophysical Survey on the export cables of the Walney 01 + 02; Barrow Offshore Wind Farms. The export cable routes are located in the East Irish Sea with landfalls on the west coast of England. The primary objectives of the Depth of Burial; Geophysical surveys to be undertaken within the scope of this specification include as a minimum:
? Acquire depth of burial of the cable over the entire accessible part of the export cables (the survey footprint includes both offshore and near shore areas) using the cable tracking system;
? Acquire accurate geographical position of cable along with Kilometer Post (KP) positioning along the route;
? Verify DoB cable tracker data with sub-bottom profiler data.
? Obtain Sub bottom data at locations where no DoB data can be measured when using the DOBstar equipment;
? Obtain multibeam data along the export cable routes in a corridor of at least 10 m on each side of cable. For very shallow areas this corridor can be narrowed
? Obtain side scan sonar data along the export cable routes
? Monitor changes in bathymetry compared to previous surveys
? Classify targets on the seabed, including exposed cables, free spans and rock dumping areas. This series contains data for the Walney 1 and 2 export cables only.</dc:description>
