<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">A variety of topographic, sea level, archaeological and geophysical survey data has been used to assess the known and potential archaeological resource within the development area. Methodologies included desk-based studies, geophysical and geotechnical surveys, digital modeling, archival research, site visits, sonar surveys, and policy reviews, supplemented by fieldwork and consultations with statutory bodies.

The studies revealed significant archaeological resources spanning from the Palaeolithic through to the post-medieval era, with key findings encompassing artefacts, wrecks, geophysical anomalies, and evidence of past occupation and environmental change, though site survival is uncertain due to ongoing marine processes.

The surveys collectively recommend ongoing monitoring, formalised protocols for discoveries, and integration of archaeological considerations into development planning to ensure appropriate protection and management of the region’s maritime and coastal heritage.</dc:description>
