  <dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In line with the requirements of the Electricity
Works (Environmental Impact Assessment)
(England and Wales) Regulations 2000, an
Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been
undertaken for the proposed Cirrus Shell Flat Array
(CSFA) Offshore Windfarm to ensure that all
significant environmental impacts resulting from the
development have been identified and assessed.
The EIA examines the need for the project; the
design of the windfarm (and associated works);
impacts that may result from the construction,
operation and decommissioning of the development
and appropriate mitigation measures to minimise
such impacts.
A combination of field surveys, desktop surveys and
modelling techniques have been used to assess the
potential impacts of the proposed windfarm. In
addition consultations have been undertaken with
both statutory and non-statutory consultees,
interested parties and the public. The complete EIA document is provided within this series.</dc:description>
