<dc:description xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">In 2014 a geophysical survey and geotechnical site investigation programme was undertaken by Gardline Geosurvey Limited for the MORL export cable route Inverboyndie shore approach in order to identify constraints which may impact on the nearshore micro-siting of the route. Due to the water depth restrictions of the geotechnical vessel utilised in 2014, a supplementary shallow geotechnical site investigation works (CPTU only) was carried out, in 2015, in the nearshore section of the export route, to provide a greater understanding of the soils present and ground-truth the geophysical data. This includes detailing the recommended route the export cable should take based on analysis and the additional data acquisition methodologies in order to effectively micro-site the cable route through areas with shallow bedrock and existing seabed infrastructure.</dc:description>
